Focus and Scope
The journal Acta Botanica Croatica is the traditional botanical journal of southern Europe. The interest of the journal is field (terrestrial and aquatic) and experimental botany (including microorganisma: plant viruses, bacteria, unicelullar algae), from subcellular level to ecosystems. The attention of the Journal is aimed to the research of karstic areas of the southern Europe, karstic waters and the Adriatic Sea (Mediterranean). The journal welcomes manuscripts for publication in the following categories: original research papers, short communications, book reviews, review articles, social news/information and announcements.

Peer Review Process
Original scientific papers submitted for publication are reviewed by two referees. Authors are requested to provide names and contact information (e-mail address) of two experts in the field as possible reviewers of their manuscript. Only papers with favorable reports are accepted for publication. The revised manuscript should be returned within three months. The acceptance of manuscripts for publication is decided by the Editor-in-Chief.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
